You definately want to talk to your doctor before giving ANY supplements to a child because they are more prone to bad side effects.
For yourself, look for a vitamin that is high in C which will help you ward off colds and flu bugs and shorten the duration of illenss.
Otherwise, health has to be a balance. A good diet, exercise and a multivitimin are all pieces to the whole picture.

Any vitamin – mineral preparation will do. Particularly Vit C and Zinc are more important. A child will need all vitamins, minerals& good protein in the diet.
    Good luck!

    Read this book.
“Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About” or
    “More Natural Cures Revealed”
2 great books, they talk about natural cures and how corrupt the FDA and Drug companies are. It makes SO much sense, to read why the government doesn’t want a cure for all the diseases out there. Of course they don’t, the money isn’t in the cure! They’re like drug dealers…. legalized (only because they say it’s legal)drug dealers

don’t take artificial supplement. Just get a juicer and start drinking vegetable and fruit juices every day. It’s better for your immune system to consume vitamins and minerals through fresh fruit and vegetables rather than from out of a bottle. And you can consume lots of it at a time from juicing different variety all together.

Boost your immune system with a proper diet and exercise. That is the best thing. Do get a juicer, blender, smoothie maker/food processor and chop and grind veggies/fruits/nuts, etc. Those are the things that keep you healthy. Lots of dark green veggies, steam, fry in a dash of olive oil/garlic which is healthy for you…mediterranean people have the healthiest population and it’s because of DIET for the most part. Remember foods of the earth, NOT foods of the can/box/freezer, unless those foods are frozen fresh by YOU.

I would take collodial silver. It is not that expensive and you can put it in a drink easily for a child. I would use a brand that is at least 30 parts per million for 60 days and I would never feed my child GMO products of any kind. Clean out the colon for optimal health.

That whole foods of the earth thing might work if we didnt live in a society with demineralized soils and pesticides that in the ground. ……….I mean really when is the last time you had a tomato that actually smelled ike a tomato?

    chlorplasma, antioxidents like grape seed
a good multi vit with minerals, eating a balanced diet, get a copy of american or canadian food guide and follow it, so that your meals are balanced… lots of rest, exercise and water… off the sugar, white flour and red meats….

do what you can through diet and exercise first. then try supplementation if necessary.

get fresh air and exposure to natural sunlight (necessary for body to convert vitamin D to usable form). exercise is very important to a helathy immune system. work in some form of exercise daily even if it is just mowing the lawn or scrubbing the tub. do your everyday household chores with energy, every little bit of exercise counts!

eat plenty of fresh veggies and fruits to get your vitamins the way nature intended (vitamins A and C are essential to a healthy immune system).

make sure you get adequate protein. don’t be afraid of red meat (a few times a week) and eggs (whenever!), but include plenty of lean meats and fish. if you are a vegetarian or vegan, make sure you take a vitamin B-12 supplement since vitamin B-12 is only found in animal products.

cut back on sugar and processed foods. nothing will suppress your immune system more than a diet full of sugar!

get plenty of rest. i can’t stress this one enough. in our increasingly hectic culture, we more often than not neglect our need for rest to recover from the daily stresses of life.

    hope this helps!

I appreciate the people who say get your vitamins through your food, but the sad fact is – the land today is so overworked that we do not get the same amount of vitamins today through food as we did even ten years ago.
I do recommend taking a food-based vitamin though over a synthetic one. And you should try to find vitamins that contain phytonutrients.
I recommend taking the Nutrilite brand – they have children’s vitamins available as well. That’s what Asafa Powell (world’s fastest man) uses.
