Years ago I took a lot of meds for my asthema and rematism and then took some herbs to dextox. It work wonders and I would like to take them again but forgot the name of the herb. One thing I remember about it was that the toxins came out of my skin during my detox period. It was uncomfortable but after I took it the pain in my soft tissues deceased. Now I have that pain again and am looking for a detox cleaner to clean out my system and get rid of the pain I have in my soft tissues in my arm. I forgot the name of the herb and am hoping someone can suggest an herb that will detox the overthe counter drugs mainly steriods.

I have heard certain herbs like Echinacea should only be taken a few months before cold/flu season starts and not everyday all year-round, or otherwise, they are not as effective, as you build up some sort of immunity to its effectiveness.

Is this true for most herbs? Or are there other herbs that can be taken all the time – like Ginseng, Garlic, etc. as a daily supplement for overall health or Milk Thistle/Dandelion to cleanse/detox the liver?

While I am familiar with all of the benefits of herbs, and know about shelf-life, expiration dates, know that the FDA does not approve certain herbs, etc., I am still unclear about long-term use/effects. Can someone please clarify any known long-term use adverse affects of any known herbs?

Thank you in advance for your help/information.

like,,, gingko, ginseng, maca,goat weed?

I am currently taking two medications for allergies – Singulair and Allegera. In the three months I’ve been on the medications I’ve had two respiratory infections. Several people have told me I’m “over medicated” and one person thinks the medicines are actually making me sick. Are there any herbs (or other non-medication options) that help with allergies. OH! And I don’t know what I’m allergic to, but it’s nothing seasonal.

I am on estrogen alone and it is not working for me. Doctor cannot help, doesn’t feel I know what I am talking about. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago(ovaries out) and have been miserable ever since. A friend suggested adding progesterone and herbs. I do not flash, just live in a oven. Is it safe to take all 3 together?

I have been told I have hperthyroidism and wanted to know if there were any herbs I can take that might help me?

Is it possible to take too many vitamins? I don’t mean a whole handful just more than the recommended dosage. Do ALL herbs have a recommended dosage, if so, is it always listed on the bottle? Is there an herb out there that promotes energy (not stimulants, only natural)? Please advise as I wear down in the afternoons and I don’t want to take any “pep pills”.
I know Valerian and Kava are not “pick me ups”. It was just a general question. Thanks though because this is all new to me.
